As generative AI becomes more widespread, it is also being hijacked by cybercriminals, who see it as a means of making their attacks more effective.

Phishing, ransomware, fake parcel scams or even the president scam: all these practices have been seriously perfected, sometimes to the point of being extremely sophisticated. They therefore require ever greater vigilance and discernment, and are giving all cybersecurity players a hard time.

Jean Diederich, partner at Finegan, spoke to Le Parisien about these banking fraud practices and some examples of how artificial intelligence is being used for criminal purposes.
